Base Wood-Fired Pizza is a full-service mobile catering company created by pizza chef Fabio Solda in 2014. Our team come to your event ready to go with our pizza ovens and dough-spinning chefs. We lovingly create mouth-watering Napoli-style pizzas from scratch and serve them to your hungry guests.

Weddings, parties, anything!

We cater for corporate events, business functions, weddings, engagement parties, birthdays and school functions all across Perth. These events are in a stand-up format, cocktail style, with a waitperson service provided. And every time, we guarantee you a culinary experience unlike anything you’ll find in Australia.

Having made pizzas since he was 14, pizza is more than just a food for Fabio—it’s a love and a passion and, most importantly — a part of his culture. And he’s eager to share it with you.“We know how real Italian pizza has to taste because we grew up with it. We only give you what our mamma gave us: real, authentic Napoli-style pizza made with nothing but imported Italian produce like Caputo flour and San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarello – and the freshest local ingredients. I create a special, highly hydrated pizza dough and bake the pizzas in a smoky, wood-fired oven for that distinctive, slightly charred taste, at blazing temperatures. The result is a smoky-tasting, melt-in-your-mouth pizza unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.”

Our special ingredients.

Napoli-style pizza dough: Fabio creates traditional Napoli-style pizza (and has used the same pizza base recipe for 20 years). It’s a highly hydrated pizza dough made from imported Italian Caputo flour, cooked at 450° in an authentic Italian woodfired oven for about 90 seconds.
Home-made tomato sauce: Fabio makes all his sources using San Marzano peeled tomatoes with distinctive sweetness, low acidity and a beautifully concentrated tomato flavour.
Imported Italian ingredients: Fabio goes to great lengths to import the very best from Italy, including Caputo flour, extra-virgin olive oil, San Marzano peeled tomatoes, mozzarella and a spicy Italian cheese imported from Fabio’s beloved home region, Veneto.

We email you a quote (followed up via sms) including information about our service.
If you are happy with your quote, you make a 20% deposit.
We’ll contact you one week before the event to confirm the numbers and check all the details.
You pay the balance of the fee no later than 2 days before the event.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

The quoted price includes a selection of pizzas from our catering menu — entree, main and dessert pizza (if requested), and waiter service. No hidden costs!
The 20% deposit, due within seven days of receipt of the official quote, is non-refundable.
